Lunar New Year
Purification Ritual

The earth and galaxy follow moon cycles within the seasons which means that the lunar New Year is initiated with the first New Moon of spring; thus, signifying beginnings for the cycles of energy that guide and influence our lives. This time of renewal is nearly here.
Conversely, the Gregorian, or solar calendar, which observes January 1st as the start of the year, spotlights solar patterns to maximize the output of agricultural harvests. Essentially, the lunar year relates to energetic cycles at large (internal and external) while the solar calendar relates to cyclical growth in plants.
On January 28th, at 3:30pm, a Daoist monk from Long Hu Shan temple, China, will perform a ceremony for attendees to purify them of past energetic patterns, attuning them with the upcoming years universal energies. Participating in this rite is a way of aligning yourself with and harnessing universal energies to create the best year possible for you.
Since Daoism (the art and science of the Universe, studied and applied) has been practiced for thousands of years, we can use its' long-proven discoveries to help guide and clear the path that our lives and body's traverse. We are honored to invite you to take part in the ceremony and blessing.
The ceremony will be an adaptation of the formal Daoist ritual for purification at the start of the new (lunar) year. Participants can expect the following.
Attendees will arrive and quietly take a seat, or stand. The Daoist monk will perform a ceremony, connecting to universal energies for the benefit of the audience. At the close of this rite, there will be an opportunity to be personally blessed or to have an item you bring with you blessed.
Please be mindful to avoid wearing perfumes/detergents/oils. Scents strongly alter energetics.
Also, electronics are prohibited. Please put your devices away, powered down or silenced while attending.
